Please note you are able to pick up the following items from Biggleswade Town Council Offices (subject to availability).
- Green garden bags
- Orange recycled bags
- Pink bags (Restricted Area: no access for mainstream vehicles)
- Food waste bags
- Large brown food bins
- Small brown food bins

Contamination of Recycled Bins

My recycling bin has a red 'Sorry' tag on it?
If any of the wrong materials listed below are found in your recycling bin it will not be collected.
Items include:
Glass
Items inside plastic sacks where we cannot see the contents
Food waste *
Polystyrene
Hard plastics - eg toys, CD cases, flowerpots
Nappies/sanitary waste
Garden waste
Textiles & shoes **
Electrical equipment **
Household batteries **
Should any of these items be found in the recycling bin a red 'Sorry' tag will be placed on it explaining what the incorrect item(s) found were.
Whilst the collection crew will not return for that particular collection, if the items are removed Central Bedfordshire Council will empty the bin on the residents next scheduled recycling collection day.
In the meantime should residents accumulate any excess recycling it can be taken to Biggleswade Household Waste Recycling Centre - please see details above.
* Food waste: Please use your weekly food waste collection
** Textiles & shoes/small electrical items/household batteries: Please put items in separate carrier bags(s) and place next to either your recycling or domestic waste bin.
Please do not place these items inside the bin as they will not be recycled
