Come and enjoy our parks and opens spaces. Biggleswade Town Council own and manage several parks, open spaces and play areas. The provision of sports facilities, walks and play areas to suit all ages across the town, there is never a shortage of outdoor activities.

Franklins Park

Franklins Park is one of the larger parks we own and manage. A lovely traditional open space, it features a mixture of toddlers play area and multi goal area for older children. Franklins also offer picturesque riverside walks.

Biggleswade Town Council is pleased to announce that the transformation work carried out at the flagship Franklins Recreation Ground play and leisure space is complete. See the press release here.
The re-opening of Franklin’s Recreation Ground took place on Saturday 3rd June 2023. The event saw the newly improved play area officially opened for public use. The Mayor of Biggleswade, Cllr Mark Foster, provided an opening speech, and members of the Biggleswade Community Carnival Court cut the ceremonial ribbon. Even the sun came out which added to the positivity of the occasion! Refreshments were provided by a local ice cream van and coffee vendor.
