Government Administrator Salary £18,070 (SCP 18) F/T CLOSED
Biggleswade Town Council wish to recruit an experienced Administrator to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. They will work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive and confidential support service to the Town Clerk and Town Council. Knowledge of working in an office environment, excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and experience of working with all Microsoft packages are essential. As is an ability to effectively prioritise a workload. This is a varied and interesting role which involves: dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries, taking charity stall bookings, updating the Town Council website and Face book page, dealing with burial paperwork and processing payments for allotment rents. A background in Local Government would also be an advantage, but more importantly is the ability to use initiative, achieve deadlines and have a keen eye for detail. Experience of using mapping software would also be useful but full training can be given.
